2021 Guided Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners (15 minutes)

In this guided mindfulness meditation of 15 minutes to start off this year well, we will do specific breathing exercises to calm down the nervous system, then go into the five senses, and after this take a moment to think about the things you feel grateful for (increases happiness) and setting your intention for the day (increases focus, awareness and presence). Musicians tend not to connect too well with their bodies, so this is a way to get more connected, and definitely to get more in the here in now, where Life really is. Doing mindfulness practice helps against anxiety and clears the mind as well! It helps us getting to a place of creativity and productivity, with plenty of energy. It's great to do in the morning, really gets us grounded; and also as a break in the middle of the day. At night I recommend another kind of meditation, like the 6 Phase Meditation by Vishen Lakhiani (Mindvalley), or journalling (writing a page of anything to get it all out of your head for the night).
