Alto recorder - Lobke Sprenkeling Viola - Fernando Montes de Oca The incredible sensibility of the beautiful Sarabande finds its expression in a unique way through the combination of recorder and viola, making the melody line sing through the recorder's sweet tones and the bass flow through the warm sound of the viola. Sprenkeling-Montes de Oca Duo is working on arrangements of Bach keyboard works for recorder and viola, a project that we are developing this year! Melodic instruments can make the melodic lines sing, which a harpsichord or even piano cannot do in the same way, and the two instruments enter into an organic and exciting dialogue. The combination of alto recorder and viola is ideal because of the ranges: the alto recorder in reality has the heighth of a soprano, the alto viola is like a bass for the recorder.
