JoLo World Vlog: Costa Rica during pandemics, March-July 2020 (Manuel Antonio, Cahuita, Guanacaste)

San José  •

In a practically empty Costa Rica because they closed the borders, I filmed all the wonderful animals and nature of some amazing places! Four months of living together with them - just us and the monkeys - was a unique opportunity. We spent the quarantine at the Pacific coast, at Manuel Antonio although we couldn't visit the park more than one day, because the national parks and beaches were closed to the public. But it was still us and the capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys howler monkeys, sloths, iguanas, lizards, geckos, birds, agoutis, cute fruit bats, the adorable hermit crabs and so many more! When yet another flight was cancelled due to the closed airport, we decided to spend the 10 days to the next scheduled flight at the Caribbean coast. We were between Talamanca and Cahuita National Park. It was rainy seasons and there it rains even more. With the next flight cancelled, but now a humanitarian flight waiting for us, we went to Guanacaste (Nosara) for our last 10 days. The van was on the boat towards Europe. We will travel again as soon as we can, but we sold this van in Europe. Guanacaste is dryer and we were actually glad we spent those days there! Very beautiful as well! We're living fulltime in Europe as long as the pandemic lasts. I'm teaching at Madrid Royal Conservatory this year. As soon as covid allows us, we will travel in batches of 2-3 months, so that I can combine it with my artistic projects in Europe. Looking SO much forward to it!!
