These weeks we crossed Mexico from Mazatlán (Sinaloa) to Cancún, passing through the beautiful Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, (Santiago de) Querétaro, Cholula (Puebla), Oaxaca, and then three rough days on the road until Cancún, passing through Isla Aguada. Guanajuato is a beautiful place among hills with colourful houses. Although arriving at the campground was challenging, we would not have changed it for anything else! San Miguel de Allende has rather brown/yellow colours and is beautiful, but quite touristic. Querétaro is a bigger city, but with a lovely historical city center and it feels like the university city it is. Cholula and Puebla are full of history, and are surrounded by no less than 4 volcanoes! Oaxaca hosts the famous Monte Albán, a pre-Aztec settlement. The city center is very beautiful, as well as the surroundings. Being on the road between Oaxaca and Cancún was a bit more challenging. Nature is more tropical here, very beautiful. Isla Aguada was a peculiar place next to the (stinking) sea, and we were glad to arrive at Cancún. Taking the flight should have been easy, but that was a challenge in itself...!!! Did you like it?
