This week consisted of lakes, tunnels and an amazing boat tour to the Kenai fjords, where we saw a glacier and a lot of marine wildlife such as whales, sea lions, bald eagles, puffins, murres, and other animals! We visited Eklutna Lake, with its fantastic views, not too far from Anchorage, with our Alaskan friend Nate. He took us for some big American breakfast and then to the peculiar town of Whittier! There is a tunnel of only one lane, not only for car traffic from both sides but also the train!! The inhabitants of Whittier all live in one big building… But there is some amazing nature there! Finally we went to Seward, took the Saltwater Lodge boat tour for viewing sea wildlife and a glacier. Kenai National Park is an incredible national park of mountains, glaciers and fjords. It was fantastic (and back to our RV camper we got an unexpected visitor seal)… see for yourself! Did you like it?
